FULL SERVICE GRANT WRITING
Stage One: Organizational Readiness
The Growth Readiness Analysis™ (G/GRA):
The Growth/Grant Readiness Analysis™ (G/GRA) is an analysis of the current organizational readiness to seek grant funding. The G/GRA will inform the ministry about the critical questions that funding sources will likely ask as well as the concerns they will be likely to cite. In this way, the G/GRA provides the ministry with feedback about organizational strengths and areas that need improvement to become a more desirable and fundable grant applicant. The wise application of Best Practices will lay a foundation for a healthy organization ready for growth and new funding.
Funding Analysis of Diversity & Strength (FADS):
Before the ministry starts a concentrated and focused funding process, we will need to know the current state of the ministry’s funding mix, evaluate how funding sources will perceive the ministry, determine the best mix of funding options, know what the ministry hopes to accomplish, and develop an organized plan to reach ministry goals. It is important for your ministry to have a strong internal and local funding base before seeking grant funding. Having a strong community presence, high visibility, ministry support, and a base of strong programs will help attract grant funding.
These are all areas we analyze in developing a foundation for grant development success. We rely on proven experience to strengthen your nonprofit organization’s capacity to successfully raise funds and create long-term stability for your ministry. This analysis, as part of the overall development process, will help to accomplish these goals.
Stage Two: Strategy Development
Master Grant Application:
Here-4-You Consulting has developed a proposal writing tool called the Master Grant Application (MGA). While conducting the requisite research on potential funding sources and creating the prioritized list in the Funding Source Report mentioned below, we will be concurrently developing an MGA for your ministry.
Instead of developing a proposal in response to a specific RFP, we develop the MGA as a more generalized proposal which can be submitted as-is to funding sources or can be modified to meet the individual requirements and expectation of each funding source. We will use this document as a template as we begin applying to individual foundations and other funding sources.
A poorly developed budget can detract from an otherwise well written proposal. A well thought out and properly developed budget is critical and this process helps accomplish this goal.
Master Letter of Inquiry:
This is often the first contact with a funding source and can mean the difference between an invitation to apply and a polite “please try again in the future.” We will masterfully produce this initial letter to ensure exceptional results.
Stage Three: Foundation Research
Funding Source Report:
We review funding sources on a daily basis and will be on constant watch for grants that most closely match the mission of your agency. We closely follow government and private grant availability by subscribing to multiple databases, newsletters, magazines, list-serves, and other guides, allowing us access to every known funding source in the United States.
Our staff uses the latest in technology and a sophisticated network of resources to monitor prospective funding sources. The information gleaned is extensive and includes names, addresses, and contact information; application procedures; IRS filings; and grant amounts for groups and individuals who have previously received funding.
Stages One, Two, & Three:
The Full-Service Grant Writing Package above involves the development of a comprehensive Grant Development Strategy and would research and develop a list of the best possible funding sources.
The fee for this Full Service Grant Writing Package (stages 1-3) would be $8,999
Full Service Grant Writing package Stage Four: Proposal Writing and Submission
Funding Development Strategy:
Here-4-You Consulting will use the Funding Source Report, the Growth Readiness Analysis, and the Funding Analysis of Diversity & Strength along with information and funding sources supplied by your organization to plan a strategy, complete with timetable, to submit specific grant applications. We will use the MGA as a template and then tailor each proposal to the specific funding source. This includes addressing the funding source’s priorities, budget restrictions, interests, and using language and terminology they find familiar.
Strategic Funding Development Plan:
When our research and analyses find that there are weaknesses in the current funding development strategy and that the deficiencies will negatively impact grant development, a Strategic Funding Development Plan may be proposed. Such a plan may include a Google for Nonprofits/Google Grants strategy, an Internal Campaign with a Wealth Analysis of current donors, an External Donor Development Campaign, Program Modification/Development to better appeal to donors, Crowd-Funding Strategies, and other efforts.
Grant Proposal Writing:
Here-4-You Consulting offers full service grant writing – which includes complete proposal development, submission, and follow-up. We require that you share the required program information and documentation, then you can let our grant writers take care of the rest. We will provide writing for all types of grant proposals, including government, private foundations, faith-based funding sources, denominational funding, corporate giving programs, and others.
